There are many exciting and fascinating places that you can visit in America. We boast of the Rocky Mountains out West, the Appalachian Mountains in the East, and the Great Plains in between it all. As you travel around the country, you can visit some truly unique places, such as the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, and Niagara Falls. When your travels take you to the Northeastern portion of the country, you should stop by the city of Rochester.
Rochester is located in New York, just south of Lake Ontario. It offers easy access to a number of sights in the area, as well as its own list of fine dining restaurants and upscale shopping. Rochester's fine dining avenues and other streets may become crowded at specific times of the year in accordance with festivals and other celebrations that the city hosts. The city also boasts of the Ellwanger Estate, which is an older estate that has been restored for the purposes of using it as a bed and breakfast. If you can stay for even a night at the Ellwanger Estate, you should jump on the opportunity because this particular estate is a piece of history. Even if you can not stay there, having brunch at the Ellwanger Estate is always recommended during a visit to Rochester.
Rochester is also close to some stunning outdoors sights, such as the 1812 Bicentennial Peace Garden Trail and the Great Lakes. The trail is located in Rochester, and it was created in honor of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812. It is a beautiful, quiet little trail that weaves through green trees and, in the spring, is encompassed by many flowers. The Great Lakes, on the other hand, appear to the eye to be the size of an ocean. They attract large amounts of tourists; however, these tourists do not go in the water very much, even in the summer, because the temperature of these lakes remains fairly cold year-round.
While visiting Rochester is great, once you visit, you will probably want to stay. The seasonal changes in the weather are beautiful, and the location is great. Besides all of the wonderful shops, restaurants, and salons Rochester touts, there are also many wonderful places to visit in the areas surrounding the city. With so much to do and so many people to meet, you will never tire of this wonderful city.
